Report for Franklin Graham Celebration of Hope in Sendai
I just received an update from the folks associated with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association who are working with Franklin Graham up in the Tohoku area.

The Celebration of Hope event for the people in that area went well last weekend (March 2, 3 & 4). The people at BGEA were thinking that the number of participants were around 7,000 (the arena area and some satellite venues combined) over the three days. The overall attendance was over 12,000. Over 200 claimed Jesus Christ as Lord in their life (actually about 45 got saved prior to the event while taking the Christian Life and Witness courses that were being held at different church locations) and others received reassurance of their salvation and/ or rededicated their lives to our Lord. The cooperating churches in the Sendai area are now busy following up to take care of these new Christians. As a whole, the church in the Tohoku area has been revitalized by the process of working towards the event and by witnessing this response. God has been working wonders in the hearts of thousands and thousands of people.

Thank you for your prayers. Praise the Lord for His work!
